IDS recently announced new additions to their uEye FA series of machine vision sensors. These new models, featuring Sony Starvis 2 rolling shutter sensors with resolutions ranging from 2 to 12.5 megapixels, are designed to provide high image quality in low-light conditions.

These sensors offer light sensitivity extending into the near-infrared (NIR) range, very low noise levels, Clear HDR (high dynamic range) technology and an asynchronous exposure trigger, all of which help them perform better in industrial-focused applications. Each variant features a different MP resolution, but all are GegE Vision-compliant, allowing easy integration into existing systems.

These new entries fit neatly inside of IDS’s existing uEye FA series, which is designed to be robust and continue providing accurate readings even when under strain in demanding industrial environments. he entire line features IP69K-protected housing, lens tube and cabling that allow it to tackle, high-particulate environments, high-pressure jets of cleaning fluid and freezing temperatures down to -20 Celsius alike. In that context, low visibility is just one more environmental challenge for IDS’s product line to tackle.

With this expansion of the uEye FA series, IDS is further strengthening its portfolio of rugged industrial cameras and offering additional high-performance models for factory automation.
