Muratec USA will be presenting a full automated job shop at this year’s IMTS.

Among the many companies descending on Chicago for IMTS 2026, Muratec USA will be at Booth 338844 on level three of the South Building of McCormick Place. Muratec’s planned display, which they’ve labeled “Automation for All,” will present nearly a dozen machines and automation solutions on a model job shop floor to illustrate how their automation solutions can be implemented and scaled.

“IMTS 2026 will be Muratec USA’s most all-inclusive showcase to date, featuring new machine introductions, live demonstrations, and integrated automation solutions,” Jeff Kalmbach, General Manager of Muratec USA’s Machine Tools Division, said. “Our growing portfolio of automation-driven technologies helps manufacturers overcome labor challenges while improving productivity, quality, and operational flexibility. Whether supporting high-volume production or frequent changeovers, Muratec delivers automation solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.”

Muratec’s job shop will bring a fully functioning automation manufacturing environment to the show floor. Throughout IMTS, interconnected Muratec machines and automation systems will produce custom Muratec flashlights and screwdrivers, providing a tangible example of lights-out manufacturing in action. Visitors will have the opportunity to load parts, activate controls, and see firsthand how easy Muratec's automation solutions are to implement and operate.

“What makes this experience unique is that attendees won’t just watch from the aisle,” said Kalmbach. “They’ll see how automation can be implemented on their own shop floors without the complexity often associated with automated manufacturing. From turning and machining to automated part handling, these demonstrations show how integrated automation can drive productivity and efficiency.”

Taking center stage at this presentation will be several of Muratec’s existing cornerstone machines such as the MWR120, MT1065, MW35 and MS60II, as well as three new cutting machines with various automated features that are in various states of release.

The LS3015MC is a manufacturing platform that combines 8-kW fiber laser cutting and secondary machining operations in a single machine to reduce setups, material handling and lead times by streamlining production. It is receiving its North American debut.

The MW400II is a twin-spindle turning center featuring Muratec’s split-bed design, enhanced rigidity, advanced thermal stability, expanded automation capabilities and a compact footprint for improved productivity and precision.

Finally, the MVH600 will be previewed at the show. It is a vertical turning machine for large-part applications with several integrated automation features designed to reduce manual handling and improve productivity.

In addition to the job shop, Muratec’s Integrated Model display will be returning to IMTS to demonstrate how Muratec combines storage, material handling, machine tools, and factory logistics in a fully integrated automation system. Muratec USA will also host a media briefing titled “Muratec Automation for All” on Tuesday, September 15, at 1:30 p.m., on the booth floor.
