Leopard Imaging, a company dedicated to AI Perception and Spatial Intelligence solutions, introduces the LI-DragonFire-VGA-GM2B, a high-performance uncooled infrared camera module designed for thermal imaging in industrial applications. Combining high-resolution thermal imaging, temperature measurement, real-time imaging, and a compact, low-power, high bandwidth design, DragonFire provides a practical thermal sensing solution for a range of industrial use cases.

High-Resolution Thermal Imaging with High Sensitivity

DragonFire features a 640 × 512 thermal resolution with 12 × 12 μm pixel size, delivering detailed infrared images for thermal observation and analysis. With NETD as low as 40 mK, the camera provides high thermal sensitivity for capturing fine thermal information.

Supporting 30 / 60 Hz frame rates, DragonFire enables real-time thermal imaging for dynamic scenes, making it suitable for monitoring moving objects and operating equipment.

Wide-Range Temperature Measurement

Beyond thermal imaging, DragonFire supports temperature measurement across different operating ranges. Its high-quality measurement range is -20°C to +160°C, while the wide-range measurement mode covers 50°C to +600°C.

This capability enables thermal information to be visualized and measured across a variety of industrial environments, supporting applications where monitoring temperature differences and heat signatures is important.

Compact and Low-Power Design

Designed for embedded integration, DragonFire combines a compact, lightweight form factor with power consumption of less than 1 W. The camera weighs approximately 58 g, making it suitable for systems where size, weight, and power consumption are important considerations.

The module also features an ADI MAX96717 GMSL2 serializer, providing a GMSL2 interface for easy and high bandwidth power over coxeal system integration.

Designed for Industrial Applications

DragonFire is designed for industrial thermal imaging applications, including:

  • Heat Signature Detection
  • Industrial Inspection
  • Night Vision

By making thermal information visible and measurable, DragonFire provides an additional sensing capability for industrial systems operating in environments where conventional visible light imaging may not provide sufficient information.
