ARC Informatique Updates PcVue with Version 17
The SCADA software has been updated with features addressing energy efficiency, operational performance and cybersecurity

ARC Informatique has updated its flagship SCADA software, PcVue, with a particular eye towards cybersecurity certifications and streamlined energy efficiency processes.
ARC Informatique, has released a new major update for their SCADA/BMS platform, PcVue 17. This update tackles several hot button topics, including energy efficiency and cybersecurity, by introducing new functions to the software suite.
Headlining the list of changes, ARC has integrated another of their products, EmVue, with PcVue 17. EmVue is designed to keep tabs on your energy consumption, and now that it can talk directly to PcVue, it allows you to make faster decisions about your facility’s power consumption. ARC also highlighted PcVue’s ability to take this information and actively optimize energy demand through optimized control scenarios that can include AI-based forecasting, thus avoiding consumption peaks and reducing energy costs.
Also noteworthy is the addition of two IEC certifications, IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-4-2, which are both important cybersecurity standards. 4-1 dictates safe operating procedures for developing software like PcVue and core competencies its developers should have to ensure the security of their products, while 4-2 is focused on the features and capabilities of the product itself. These standards help ensure that PcVue is secure and resilient to cyber threats, should the day ever come where your company is targeted by such tactics.
PCVue 17 also introduces “intelligent assistance” feature that enable users to configure workflows and orchestrate complex processes through low-code interfaces. By combining AI processing and real-time data analysis, it allows users to automate routine tasks and accelerates decision-making across both systems and teams.
