Software used for automation in manufacturing and engineering applications.
It’s an exciting time to be involved in automation. As we learned at Automate 2026, the technology is changing faster than ever, especially in the fields of robotics and AI. But it’s not just cutting-edge science-fiction becoming reality. It’s also the explosion of applications and the expansion of automation beyond the places it’s been traditionally found. At Automate 2026, we spoke with a lot of people who are invested in automation, and we asked them one simple question: What do YOU like most about working in automation today? Read More

Hybrid programming combines offline preparation with live work on the real robot in a single workflow. Offline programming on its own is rarely enough, because even a well-prepared program still needs adjustment on the shop floor. Online programming on its own is slower, ties up the cell, and leaves less room for advance verification. ENCY Hyper brings the two together: users can build and check a project in a digital environment, then connect to the real robot to refine motion and run the job. That makes robot programming faster to prepare and easier to bring into production. Read More

On paper, a robot is just a set of joints and motors. On a production floor, however, it becomes something entirely different. CNC Solutions in Belgium learned that the hard way years ago, when teach-in methods that worked for simple pick-and-place began to crumble under CNC-class workloads. In milling, sanding, laser or plasma cutting paths, the motion isn’t a few hundred points; it’s millions. Read More
